Members of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians in North Carolina have lived on the Qualla Boundary for over 10,000 years. Today, Eastern Band Cherokee grow the language, culture and community by exercising tribal sovereignty and creating new stories about what it means to be Cherokee.
